Suspect arrested in church collection plate theft

Police arrested a man in the theft of a collection plate from a teenage usher at a suburban Philadelphia Roman Catholic Church.

James Joy -22-year-old was taken into custody Wednesday on previous traffic warrants. He was later charged with robbery, theft and simple assault in the theft of about $350 during Sunday morning Mass at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church in Drexel Hill.
