March 31, 2013 – Ashtabula, Ohio: On Easter Sunday during mass, Reshad Riddle entered Hiawatha Church of God in Christ screaming about God and Allah, with a gun in his hand according to witnesses. While parishioners were leaving the church, Reshad then shot his 52-year old father, Richard Riddle. According to authorities, Riddle had an extensive criminal record. Riddle was immediately arrested and taken into custody by police. May 13, 2013 – Stillwater Okla. - Dana Sue Eckhart 43 years of age, has been arrested and charged with embezzling more than $141,000 from the UMC Stillwater, since 2009. According to authorities, UMC Stillwater informed police that Eckhart had written unauthorized checks to herself, her husband and others from 2009 through 2012. The church also questions hundreds of purchases by Eckhart utilizing church-issued credit card. Dana Eckhart pleaded not guilty and is free on $50,000 bond and due in court for preliminary hearing sometime in June 2013.

May 3, 2013-Cartersville, GA - Mr. Marcus Deanglo Henderson, 33-years-old, was arrested by authorities and charged with aggravated battery for assaulting a 17-year-old was playing basketball at an Adairsville Church gym. According to law enforcement personnel, the victim received a broken jaw during the assault requiring surgery to repair the damage. Mr. Henderson was booked into Bartow County Jail.

May 1, 2013 – Cincinnati, Ohio – Youth Minister of First Baptist Church of Mount Orab faces sex charges involving a sexual relationship with a 15 year-old girl. The victim claims she had at least three sexual encounters with him. Pastor Tim Cline of the First Baptist Church of Mount Orab told authorities that the Youth Minister had been employed at the church for about 1 1/2 years. Pastor Cline said the church community is shocked and hurt over the entire incident. April 30th, 2013 - GREENVILLE, SC – Former maintenance worker at Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church in Greenville, SC 58-year-old Timothy Lee Anders was arrested and charged with 27 total charges; nine counts of lewd act on a minor, four criminal sexual conduct with a minor and 14 counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. According to authorities, these incidents occurred at various places to include Anders’ residents, his personal vehicle, and inside Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church. Anders is currently in the Greenville County Detention Center with no bond!

April 19, 2013 – Calgary, Canada - A former baptist church deacon in Calgary has been sentenced to 38 months in jail for molesting boys at his church for several years. According to authorities, his four victims were between the ages of 10 and 17 and the attacks happened between 1978 and 1993. Russell Rodman, 59, was a volunteer at the church when the assaults happened.

April 9, 2013 – Authorities in NAVARRO COUNTY, Texas convicted Mark Allen Green, 42, former pastor of the Cowboy Church of Marshall of sexual assault and sentenced him to 50 years in prison according to the District Attorney’s office. Sexual assault incidents involved a 13-year-old girl according to authorities.

LUMBERTON March 2013 — A youth group leader according to Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, Jahaziel Levi Rodriguez-Vasquez, 28-years-of-age was arrested and is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl while working at a Lumberton church, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Jahaziel Levi Rodriguez-Vazquez, is charged with statutory rape and is being held under a $50,000 bond at the Robeson County jail. According to Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, Rodriguez-Vasquez was working at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s when the assaults occurred. According to the arrest report Jahaziel Levi Rodriguez- Vasquez, assaulted the girl twice, once in 2012 and again in February of this year. Jahaziel was charged with statutory rape and is being held under a $50,000 bond at the Robeson County jail.

March 26, 2013: Oklahoma City police arrested Levi Eden age-28, for assaulting a child he believed was laughing during church according to police. According to police, the assault took place during a service at Life Church earlier that day. Eden and the child assault both attended the service together and live in the same house. Eden was arrested by police on a complaint of assault and battery.

Jan 15, 2013 – Spartanburg County, S.C. – Police authorities reported that a volunteer pastor was arrested today after being accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female. According to the victim, William Hughes invited her to his home where he offered her alcoholic beverages which she drank.
The victim told authorities that the next thing she remembers is waking up and putting her pants on. William Hughes was a member and volunteer at Restoration Church. Pastor Tony Cribb, Senior Pastor of Restoration Church said that the church is deeply sadden and shocked by the news.
Mr. Hughes worked in the past as a volunteer chaplain for the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s office before his service was terminated for allegations that he inappropriately touched a child.
